Amidst the rapid development of technology and global competition, universities have a strategic role in producing young generations who are not only academically competent but also have international insight. One of the steps taken by the UNDIP Faculty of Law to support this goal is to participate in the Student Go International program held at Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia on February 16–22, 2025, which provides an opportunity for selected student representatives to learn, share experiences, and expand networks in an international academic environment. This activity was attended by 1 Master of Law student, 1 Master of Electrical Engineering student, 2 Bachelor of Management students, and 8 Bachelor of Electrical Engineering students.
This program not only offers classroom learning, but also integrates various interactive activities, such as group discussions, field practice, and visits to research facilities. The main focus of these activities is on issues that are relevant to current technological developments, such as renewable energy systems, automation, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Through this approach, students can understand how technology is applied to provide innovative solutions in various sectors.
This program is part of Diponegoro University’s vision to support the achievement of a World Class University. Contributing to this program allows students to gain international experience that not only enriches academic insight, but also improves cross-cultural communication skills, research skills, and readiness to face the challenges of the global workforce.
It is hoped that the collaboration between UiTM and Diponegoro University will be the first step in building a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship. This program also opens up opportunities for the development of joint research collaborations, lecturer exchanges, and other academic activities. With this synergy, both institutions are committed to producing graduates who are able to make real contributions to the advancement of science, technology and the welfare of society.
As part of Diponegoro University’s efforts to become a World Class University (WCU), this program makes a major contribution to achieving this vision by improving the quality of international education and expanding global networks.
Thus, the Student Mobility Program has the potential to create a generation that is not only competent in academics, but also ready to contribute positively at the global level, both in education, research, and industry.
